Nicole Quiroga

Nicole Quiroga, a native of Washington DC and General Manager of Telemundo WZDC-25 and Telemundo WZTD-45, is a communications strategist with extensive expertise in media sales, multi-cultural marketing, public relations, business development, and strategic planning. Her inspirational keynote appeals to career women, future journalists, and business audiences interested in learning about how technology transforms the way news reaches the public; the challenges and opportunities of new media, and the road ahead in news.

At Telemundo, Nicole works closely with her clients and her team in the creation and deployment of innovative, Hispanic-focused communication strategies. These strategies incorporate social, ethnic, and cultural nuances into all branding, public relations, community outreach, and advertising initiatives, ultimately generating increased awareness and response from targeted Latino groups to clients’ products and services.

Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Marketing from the University of Maryland. She is a graduate of the 2008 Leadership Greater Washington Executive Program, Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government Executive Program, the National Hispana Leadership Institute, the Center for Creative Leadership Institute, the Gallup Leadership Institute, and the Emerging Leadership Institute.

Nicole Quiroga travels across the country as a keynote speaker for women professional conferences and also to encourage and inspire young students from across the country who desire a career in journalism and media. Her inspirational keynote, “Preparing for the Future of Journalism and Media," draws in her own experience as station manager of WZDC Telemundo, Washington, D.C.
